Privacy policy
Applies to LivoCapsule. Last updated 17 September 2026.
LivoCapsule keeps your photos, stories and recordings on your device. Livo Enterprises does not collect them, does not see them, and has no servers that could.
What the app stores, and where
Everything LivoCapsule creates — the memories you assemble, the stories and narration you add, the people and places you tag, the capsules you seal, and your settings — is stored on your iPhone or iPad. Capsules are placed in the Files app so you can copy them wherever you choose. If you make a backup from Settings, it is written to a location you pick. None of this is sent to Livo Enterprises.
Permissions the app asks for
Photos. To show your photo library and to save edited photos and stitched videos back to it. LivoCapsule never deletes or modifies an original.
Microphone. Only when you tap the record button, to capture a narration. The recording is saved on your device alongside the memory it belongs to.
Location. LivoCapsule reads location information already embedded in your photos to suggest place names. It does not track your device's location.
Each permission is requested the first time the feature needs it, and each can be withdrawn at any time in iOS Settings. The app continues to work without them, minus that feature.
Microsoft OneDrive (optional)
If you choose to sign into a Microsoft account, LivoCapsule reads photos and videos from your OneDrive directly, using Microsoft's own sign-in. Your Microsoft password is never seen by the app; a sign-in token is stored in the device's secure keychain. Requests go from your device to Microsoft and nowhere else. Signing out removes the token. Microsoft's handling of your account is governed by Microsoft's privacy statement.
What we don't do
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No analytics, usage tracking or advertising identifiers.
- No crash reporting beyond what Apple collects under your own iOS settings.
- No third-party SDKs that send data anywhere, other than Microsoft's sign-in library used for OneDrive.
- No sale or sharing of personal information, because we have none.
Capsules you share
A capsule is a file you create and send. It contains the photos, videos, story, narration and any people's names and place names you tagged. Once you share it, it is in the hands of whoever you sent it to, like any file. The app tells you this before sharing.
Purchases
LivoCapsule is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and tells the app only that a purchase was made. We do not receive your name, payment details or Apple ID.
Children
LivoCapsule is a general-audience app and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the new version is published here. Changes will never reduce the protections above without a new version of the app that asks for your consent.
